Favourite Wedding Venues

My top local wedding venues.
Choosing the right wedding venue is so important and probably one of the first things on your wedding ‘to do’ list. However, it can be daunting with so many lovely places and different packages on offer and so I thought I would share with you some of my favourite local venues in and around Staffordshire. In no particular order….

Shustoke Barns Shustoke or ‘Cripps Barn’ is an 18th century picturesque barn located in Warwickshire. The barn has timber vaulted ceilings and is set around a beautiful courtyard with ancient olive trees. The space is really atmospheric and would be perfect for more intimate affairs but can also cater for up to 140 guests at a sit down meal. What I love is the brickwork, huge glass doors and courtyard (there’s a lot to love here!)

Weston HallWeston Hall in Stafford, Staffordshire is a Grade 2 listed building. There are several options for rooms dependent on the size of your party, many with Elizabethan features with open stone fireplaces and oak beams. There are also eight rooms available for overnight accommodation. What I love is the intimacy of the rooms.

Somerford Hall
Somerford Hall located in Brewood, Staffordshire is an elegant Palladian mansion set in 100 acres of parkland. Somerford Hall offers an exclusive package for your day or an entire weekend for you and your guests. Perfect for having all of your family in one location over a couple of special days. What I love are the wonderful grounds and long drive up to the house.

Sandon Hall
Sandon Hall is one of the countries most exclusive wedding venues, set within 400 acres of lush Staffordshire countryside. Various rooms are available for your party and you can marry in the church, the conservatory or even the library. Tipi weddings are also an option within the beautiful grounds. What I love is the long winding drive through the grounds to reach the house.

Weston Park
Weston Park is the ultimate luxury wedding venue. The magnificent country house sits within extensive parklands and offers on site accommodation for you and your guests. From the moment you and your guests arrive at Weston, you are greeted with luxury. The house is situated midway between the three towns of Telford, Cannock and Wolverhampton. What I love is the orangery room which when set up for a wedding looks glorious.

Hawkstone HallHawkstone Hall is a country mansion set in the heart of Shropshire. The house has recently been restored in full glory, check out their Instagram page for inspiration! Owned by the same people who own Weston Hall you’re in good hands when it comes to your perfect day. The house can accommodate up to 700 guests for larger weddings and the many bedrooms mean that your guests can stay over with you…

Mill Barns, Pendrell Hall and The Ashes Barns
These three fabulous venues are owned by the same family and run by a dedicated and experienced team of wedding specialists. You certainly are in safe hands with all of these three wonderful venues.
Pendrell Hall
Pendrell Hall is located in Codsall within the West Midlands and is a romantic country house with crisp interiors. There are several different rooms for your guests to enjoy and the house is available on an exclusive basis with a no corkage option. What I love is the variety of rooms available for your guests to use on an exclusive basis.

The Ashes Barns
This beautiful venue looks just as beautiful on a bright sunny day it does on a grey overcast day. The Ashes is a rustic barn wedding venue set within 50 acres in Staffordshire and is available exclusively to you and your guests with a no corkage option. The room for the bride and her tribe to get ready for the big day is gorgeous. What I love is the atmosphere of this venue which looks just as good on a glorious sunny day as it does on an overcast wintery day.

The Mill BarnsThe Mill Barns is the newest of the three venues, having opened in 2017 following an extensive rebuild. The venue sits on the site of a 17th century water mill and so it’s only apt that it has a waterfront setting. Again, the barn is available on an exclusive basis with an added bonus of luxury accommodation onsite. What I love is the grand atrium, perfect for those wedding photos.
